BFB #OneWorld Youth Orchestra

The BFB #OneWorld Youth Orchestra is an inclusive, community-based afterschool orchestra program created by Bridges from Borders (BFB). What began in 2023 as a small group of around 10 students from immigrant families within the Williamsville Central School District through the #OneWorld program has continued to grow into a vibrant multicultural youth music community.

Through music, leadership, teamwork, and cultural exchange, students build friendships, confidence, belonging, and a stronger sense of community.

The orchestra is not only a music program — it is also a youth leadership and community ambassador program where students use music to help build the #OneWorld community spirit.

The famous American publishing company Wayne Leupold Editions published her compositions. Those works are often included in CDs, concerts and radio stations internationally.

In 1993, she was the first Asia artist who held an Organ solo concert at the Central Concert Hall in Beijing, at the same year, she was interviewed by the Central People's Broadcasting Station and the concert program was broadcast throughout China. She also performed with many famous arts groups including international renowned Empire Brass quintet. In addition, Dr. Chang has extensive experience in choir directing and choral music arrangement.
