Lailani Bessing joined the Bridges from Borders Board of Directors in 2026, bringing more than 25 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, operations, and business planning. She is passionate about helping individuals and families succeed through education, leadership, and community engagement.

Throughout her career, Lailani has worked across manufacturing, logistics, planning, and procurement, supporting organizations in improving efficiency, collaboration, and sustainable growth. Her professional background has given her a strong foundation in strategic thinking, problem-solving, and organizational leadership.

Lailani holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and has completed graduate studies in Applied Economics at the University at Buffalo. She continues to pursue professional development in project management and leadership.

As a board member, Lailani is committed to advancing Bridges from Borders’ mission of fostering inclusion, opportunity, and empowerment for diverse communities. She has a particular interest in youth development, financial literacy, cultural understanding, and strengthening pathways for future generations.
